Whenever I felt sad as a kid or even after becoming an adult, there were couple of dreams that I often used to see; one of them was to meet SRK as he was my favourite actor back then and the other was of meeting or playing cricket with the Australian team. And then the very next morning of mine was made happy and content because of those dreams. It was surprising to realize how many times I saw similar dreams.
These dreams do occur when something is stored in our mind, and it then plays back the same thing, however it also has another significant meaning. Dreams are not just our subconscious thinking but is also a portal of connecting to the higher realms. We often see such dreams that give us messages at times; sometimes we find the solution of a problem through it and sometimes our death family members visit us via dreams. So, when I started learning about spirituality, I realized that those dreams were not just coincidences to appear during the nights when I felt sad and then it made me happy just like that, but it was played by an external force that I didn’t know back then.
As we all know that we are not just this body but a soul that is present in this body, and even when the body has its limited duration to spend in this earth; the soul is still timeless and will exist beyond this human life. Similarly, there are also souls that are present in this universe without a human body. To understand this, we need to first know that when we as a soul take birth to experience this human life by entering in this earth to learn our karmic lessons, we are also assigned and assisted by external forces/ souls/power beings known as spiritual guides. Now their task is to guide us in our life and help us during the troubled times. Obviously, we can’t see them because they are just souls without a human body, but they do guide us via sending messages during dreams, sometimes by speaking internally to us via our inner voice and sometimes they send signs. It’s up to us how much we are open to receiving their help and guidance. Haven’t you sometimes heard the inner voice yelling “this is wrong” when you intentionally think of doing something wrong to anyone? So, it’s not us but the guides speaking through us. (It depends on situation to situation that who is speaking via our inner voice) I still remember from the past when I didn’t talk to my mother for few days due to an argument between us and then, saw a dream of my dead grandmother asking me to call and talk to my mother which I did eventually.
Coming to the spirit guides, we are not assigned just one but many of these guides.
They consist of Gods and Goddess like Shiva, Parvati, Lakshmi, Krishna, Jesus etc
Spiritual gurus who lived as humans like Yogananda, Neem karoli baba etc.
Ancestors who are no more. Like our grandmother, grandfather or even those ancestors whom we don’t even know.
Guardian Angels like Archangel Michael, Archangel Chamuel etc.
Then there are other spirit guides who has expertise in different fields; the field where we work or an expertise in a soul lesson that we are going through in life, or someone who has a good human life experience or someone who has faced a similar problem/issue that we are going to face or already suffering in our lives. So, they all are there to assist and ensure that we are protected, guided and stay safe in our human journey.
So next time when you feel that there is no one to look after or care for you or love you, just say to your spiritual guides to give you a sign; it can be any unique word, color, number or anything which you relate with. Ask them to show you that sign, and I am sure you will be amazed. The more you start listening to your inner voice or start asking for signs/guidance, the more you will receive the help so stay curious and remember someone is out there for you.
