Since childhood, we have been told by our parents that we are living in Kalyug era, the age of Downfall which is the final era in the spiritual evolution of man. Unfairness in society and corruption were few characteristics of this era that I never believed in because of my immense faith in God and also because everything looked so hunky-dory to me. Life was good without any big hurdle. My love for cricket and Shah Rukh Khan was enough to set my mood on whenever it went off at any point in time. How passionate I was for these two things that they were a part of my life.
It took me and many others in June 2020 to realize that life was not so easy or I should say the world was not good but ugly. So far, we were ignorant and never believed in few ugly things that we heard and shrugged it off as rumours. The more we read and watched about it, the more we found that we were living in denial and ignorance. The truth of this world was so bitter that it shook us to the core. The people whom the world is admiring and following are nothing less than the monsters, and the people who deserve to be appreciated are not known or never noticed by the majority. In a movie, it is the criminal, a don who is glorified and the person who save us from such criminals play a small part! It took us so long to open our eyes, and there are many more whose eyes are still closed and will remain so.
It’s high time that we start doubting and questioning our choices and our followings. Are we admiring and following the right set of people? Can we get inspired by these people? Who are our real heroes? The ones that are showcased as our heroes; which in reality is just a perception forcefully created by others for us. Are we going to let that happen or use our mind to understand what is right for us? The real heroes are the one who doesn’t talk about their best, but their work talks about them. They don’t appear on news channels or newspapers but in the real world helping us in some or the other way.
It is the time to wake up from sleep and the perception created by others. Let your conscience take this decision and not others.
